Eugene Cho
President and CEO of
Bread for the World
Eugene is president and CEO of Bread for the World and Bread Institute, a prominent non-partisan Christian advocacy organization urging both national and global decision makers to help end hunger — both in the United States and around the world. He is the founder and visionary of One Day’s Wages (ODW) — a grassroots movement of people, stories and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty. He is also the founder and former senior pastor of Quest Church — an urban, multicultural and multi-generational church in Seattle, Washington. Eugene is the author of two acclaimed books, Thou Shalt Not Be a Jerk: A Christian’s Guide to Engaging Politics (2020) which was nominated for Christian book of the year and Overrated: Are We More in Love with the Idea of Changing the World Than Actually Changing the World? (2014). Eugene and his wife, Minhee, have been married for over 25 years and they have three adult children.
Rebe Clifford

Born and raised in Guatemala and Honduras, Rebe was invited to follow Jesus from an early age, and grew up surrounded by a community of people in ministry. In 2004, she was invited to be a volunteer in the newly started Young Life club in Guatemala, and then came on staff in 2007. Since then, Rebe has served in various roles: area director, country director, director of Operations for Central America and currently serves as the director for Financial Operations Latin America and the Caribbean. She has spent the last few years paying attention to the need to fully integrate the spiritual gift of administration into ministries, focusing on training and developing the regional functional teams in the division. She is married to Roy Clifford, who works as the project manager for Rapadou (our camp in Haiti). They live in the Dominican Republic, and have three children: David (10), Daniel (9) and Elena (7).
John Mark Comer

John Mark Comer was born and raised in the Bay Area but has lived in Portland, Oregon, for many years with his wife T and three children, Jude, Moses and Sunday. He is the founding pastor of Bridgetown Church — a church built around the idea of practicing the way of Jesus, together in Portland. He is the author of six books including The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and Live no Lies. He currently runs a nonprofit he started called Practicing the Way, a resource for discipleship and formation. John Mark has a master’s degree in biblical and theological studies from Western Seminary.
Daniela Perez Lopez
Nicaragua Metro Director
Daniela has been involved in Young Life since she was 13 years old. A Young Life leader entered her life and showed her Jesus in a way that was compassionate and loving; that leader is still her friend today. When she was 16, she reaffirmed her relationship with God and began a training program with Young Life. Daniela feels a deep call to replicate Jesus’ love for those kids who have not felt loved or understood. A missionary at heart, Daniela has served in both her native Nicaragua, moving to different cities, and in Honduras. In 15 years of service in the ministry, she has experienced some of the great highs of ministry and also deep valleys. She currently lives in the city of Matagalpa and leads two metro areas in the Nicaragua North Region.
Rebecca McLaughlin

Rebecca McLaughlin holds a Ph.D. in renaissance literature from Cambridge University and a theology degree from Oak Hill College in London. She is the author of Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World's Largest Religion (2019), which was named book of the year by Christianity Today, and of 10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) about Christianity (2021), The Secular Creed: Engaging 5 Contemporary Claims (2021), and Is Christmas Unbelievable? Four Questions Everyone Should Ask About the World's Most Famous Story (2021). She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband, Bryan, and their three children.
Rick palmer
Metro Director – Columbia, SC
Rick Palmer is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, where he currently serves as metro director. Rick has been on staff for the past 12 years and devoted 10 of those years serving under-resourced communities in Downtown Columbia. Prior to Young Life staff, Rick fulfilled his life’s passion of helping others through prison outreach and youth ministry at his local church. He has been married for the past 15 years to Christine Palmer who is a high school math teacher. They have two amazing children: Mosaic (12) and Zari (9).
Newt Crenshaw

Newt is deeply committed to Young Life’s desire to reach all kids with the life-giving message of hope in Jesus Christ. His current leadership priorities include sustained global growth, diversifying the mission at all leadership levels and ensuring that Young Life continues to innovate for ongoing impact in the lives of young people around the world. Newt and his wife, Susan, live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and have four adult children and two granddaughters.
